映画『記憶の解凍』特別上映＋トークセッション（シネマ・チュプキ・タバタ）に庭田杏珠監督とハロームービー代表が登壇（2026-08-05）

2026年8月5日（火）、東京・田端にある日本初のユニバーサルシアター「シネマ・チュプキ・タバタ」にて、庭田杏珠監督によるドキュメンタリー映画『記憶の解凍』の特別上映が実施され、15時の回の上映後トークセッションに、ハロームービー株式会社 代表取締役社長 瀧川 淳がゲストとして登壇いたしました。
本作はスマートフォン無料アプリ HELLO! MOVIE による音声ガイド・字幕付きバリアフリー上映に対応しています。

本作『記憶の解凍』は、戦前・戦中に撮影されたモノクロ写真をAI技術と当事者の対話によってカラー化し、失われた「日常」の記憶を現代によみがえらせるプロジェクトを軸としたドキュメンタリー作品です。シネマ・チュプキ・タバタでの上映期間中、庭田杏珠監督が全回に登壇し、回ごとにゲストを迎えた特別トークセッションが行われました。

「平和な色は、明るい色。今もこの世界の片隅では戦争が起きていて、日常が失われていることを忘れないでほしい。」
翌8月6日の朝には、広島への原爆投下から81年を迎えます。「その日を迎える前には、それぞれの尊い日常があったのだ」——本作を通して、そのことを1人でも多くの人に届けたい、という監督のメッセージが会場に静かに響きました。

トークセッションでは、本作をバリアフリー上映に対応させるまでの経緯や、音声ガイド制作の過程で得られた気づき、そして本作の音楽に込められた想いなど、多岐にわたるお話が語られました。視覚障害・聴覚障害の有無を問わずすべての人が同じ映画体験を共有できる場を提供してきたシネマ・チュプキ・タバタの平塚代表による企画のもと、映画のバリアフリー化がもつ意義があらためて共有される機会となりました。
ハロームービーは今後も、シネマ・チュプキ・タバタをはじめ全国の映画館・映画制作関係者の皆様とともに、より多くの方に映画をお届けする取り組みを進めてまいります。

“Rebooting Memories” Post-Screening Talk at Cinema Chupki Tabata

On Tuesday, August 5, 2026, a special screening of the documentary film “Rebooting Memories”, directed by Anju Niwata, was held at Cinema Chupki Tabata — Japan’s first fully accessible “universal cinema” — located in Tabata, Tokyo. Following the 3:00 PM screening, a post-screening talk session was held with Director Niwata and Andrew Takigawa, CEO of HELLO! MOVIE Inc., as guest speakers.
The film is screened with audio description and captions via the free HELLO! MOVIE smartphone app.

“Rebooting Memories” is a documentary centered on a project that revives lost “everyday moments” from before and during World War II — colorizing pre-war and wartime black-and-white photographs through AI-assisted techniques combined with dialogue with survivors and their families. Director Niwata attended every screening at Cinema Chupki Tabata, joined by different guest speakers for each post-screening talk.

“The colors of peace are bright colors. Even now, in a corner of this world, war continues, and everyday life is being lost. Please do not forget this.”
The following day, August 6, marks the 81st anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Before that day, the director reminded the audience, each person there had their own precious daily life. Her wish, she said, is that this film may carry that truth to as many people as possible.

The talk session covered a wide range of topics — the path to bringing this film into fully accessible screening, discoveries made during the production of the audio description track, and the intentions behind the film’s music. Hosted by Ms. Hiratsuka, director of Cinema Chupki Tabata — a theater built on the belief that everyone, with or without visual or hearing impairments, deserves to share the same cinematic experience — the session became a valuable occasion to revisit the meaning of accessibility in cinema.
